We have received grant funding to resume our offering in September 2026!
Shinrin-Yoku: A Practice for Healing is a call to action local to
Vancouver, British Columbia.
This project is made possible by the Consumer Initiative Fund (CIF).
Ehren is taking action with Nicole Yamanaka (Coral Mountain Wellness).
They are both certified forest therapy guides with the
Association of Nature and Forest Therapy.
During the Praxium’s last project from September 2025 - February 2026, we reduced economic barriers and increased accessibility to nature-based healing for peers
with mental health or substance use challenges in Vancouver.
Our Tasks:
1) Create a supportive space for personal healing
2) Increase trust between people and their community
by strengthening connections
3) Advocate for equitable and accessible cultural practices
found in community
This endeavor cultivates Love by strengthening Love of Self, Love of Community,
and Love of Nature.
